Retail Environment & Store Fit-Out Design

Client Case Study: SolBowl & Piccolo Me
Bringing Hospitality Brands to Life Through Physical Spaces
Overview
As part of the creative team at FABE, I supported the rollout of new Piccolo Me and SolBowl store locations by developing production-ready artwork for retail environments.
Working alongside the founders, project managers and fabricators, I translated each brand into physical spaces; creating the signage, graphics and branded assets that customers interact with throughout the store experience.

The Challenge
Designing for retail environments extends far beyond creating attractive graphics.
Every element must be manufactured to exact specifications, produced using different materials and installed by multiple trades, all while remaining true to the brand.
Each asset needed to balance visual impact with practical production requirements, ensuring suppliers could manufacture and install everything accurately the first time.

My Role
I developed a wide range of production-ready assets for new store fit-outs across both the Piccolo Me and SolBowl brands.
This included:
External and internal signage
Vector artwork for fabricated lettering and logo cut-outs
Environmental graphics and wall messaging
Wayfinding and operational signage
"Order Here", "Pick Up" and directional signage
Electrical cupboard graphics and compliance signage
Decorative brand illustrations and environmental graphics
Artwork variations for multiple sizes
Production-ready vector files for fabricators
Rather than simply supplying logos, I prepared every asset to precise specifications, ensuring they could be fabricated accurately across a range of materials including illuminated signage, acrylic lettering, vinyl graphics and large-format applications.
Outcome
The completed stores successfully translated each brand beyond digital and print into immersive customer environments.
By producing technically accurate artwork for fabrication, I helped bridge the gap between branding and construction, ensuring the final retail spaces reflected the intended brand experience while streamlining communication between designers, suppliers and installers.
